Food Insurance Agreement
If a member experiences an extended job loss of more than three months, YHF Society will deliver $60 worth of goods at no cost each week to your home. You will earn 1 week of deliveries toward this program for every month you are a member.
Food Security Agreement
YHF Society is committed to ensuring the food security of its members. In the event of an economic or food security crisis, YHF Society members are entitled to a labour for food trade.
Frequently Asked Questions
When are products available ? The main season will run from April to November, but select products will be for sale throughout the winter beginning in the 2025/2026 season such as pickles, jams, jellies, herbs, teas, mushrooms, eggs, select desserts from Sunflower Lodge, and micro greens.
Why should I sign up year round? Although there may be times when the farm is less productive, your food insurance agreement will continue to grow and your support will help the farm and its commitment to the community thrive.
How much does your produce cost? We aim to provide the best prices available for certified organic produce.
When do you deliver? Our produce will be delivered once a week on Tuesdays. Orders are due Saturday night.
Where do you deliver? We are currently delivering to Maple Ridge, Mission, & Pitt Meadows.
How do I pay for my membership? Membership fees can be purchased by clicking the button above.
Do you use plastic containers? The health of our environment is incredibly important to us, and for that reason we use reusable cloth bags, paper, and recyclable plastic containers.
How do you set your prices? We set our prices based on our commitment to growing natural, hand picked produce without the use of herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers and paying our workers a living wage while doing our best to stay competitive with other certified organic suppliers. At this time our prices are roughly the same as what you currently find in the supermarket.
